I need to concentrate solely on details that matter to the story, character, plot, or mood and then cut all the rest. It's always nice to rethink the process, so thanks for posting this. <br /><br />Descriptions are important, but Catherine is right, they can get boring, and yet are important to set up the mood.<br /><br />The second is a great improvement over the first.
