New Award!

I am so pleased to announce that Writing in the Modern Age has earned another blog award. WMA was nominated by author Katrina Jack here for the "Very Inspiring Blogger Award".

You can check out her wonderful blogThank you, Katrina!:)

We are so happy to accept this award and all that goes with it. Here are the rules:

• Display the award on your blog
• Link back to the person who nominated you
• State 7 things about yourself
• Nominate 15 bloggers, link to them, and notify them about their nominations

I guess that's my cue, huh? Although Writing in the Modern Age is a joint effort with guest authors, I will state 7 things about myself here:

1. I live in central Indiana with my family and three crazy cats.

2. I have twenty books published (four of which were published by Solstice Publishing and the other sixteen I plan to re-release under this name, Marie Lavender, in the future).

3. I am currently working on the final book in the Heiresses in Love Series; it is titled Upon Your Love

4. I live in an 1890s era house in a very small town in the middle of nowhere. LOL.

5. I love gel pens - I love, love, love to write with colorful gel pens! - and I often compose my works in pretty journals my family and friends buy as gifts for me because they know I'm obsessed with "writing".

6. I am pretty eclectic in my music tastes; I like to listen to groups such as Paramore, Owl City, OneRepublic, Lights, Ellie Goulding, Christina Perri, Fireflight and so many more.

7. My bedroom is piled with books - a majority I've read, some I haven't read - and they cover the room from floor to ceiling. (Really, Marie?) What? I ran out of space. Yep, I would love to have a huge library in my house someday with a complete collection of every book you can imagine.

Now for nominating bloggers. Wouldn't it be apropos to choose Writing in the Modern Age authors? Why not? So, I will. If I haven't chosen you, I am really sorry. I only had a limit of 15 to select and with almost 100 guest authors in 2013 and 2014, it's hard to choose from all the wonderful talent here! Here is my list of 15 nominees for this award:
