Hi, readers!  We have a real treat in store for you today, a poetry spotlight.  In these poetry spotlights today and in the future, we will be showcasing poetry by some very talented poets.  These poets have graced us with their presence.

With us today is poet Michele Harvey.  Here is a little taste of her inspirational poetry.

Don’t Look Back

Kiss and release yourself
Feel the past fall gently away
Let it slip behind you and evaporate
The way even the hardest rain
Eventually returns to sky

A New Day is a Fresh Start

Why not choose a new hue
Paint your canvas
Authentic and clear
And surrender yesterday’s blues
Mix the brilliance of your truth,
Fellow traveler through the passage of time
Don’t say you can’t move on
There is forever a chance to create
What’s been otherwise

Caring
I intend to follow my heart,
not chew what others say
I am forced to swallow.
I choose to dwell in my heart
to be the observer, unpossessed
by earthly desire,
basking in love Divine,
that which is yours,
that which is mine…

The poems in part I of Poetry for Living an Inspired Life were Divinely inspired through the use of a meditation practice taught by Neale Donald Walsch, a modern-day spiritual messenger. This illuminated work sets the stage with a meditative tone that promotes peaceful inner-silence. Each poem gently guides the reader to ponder their purpose, perhaps with a shift in understanding, and thus intention. Part II showcases poems, many of which have been published in fine literary journals, and were written during the poet’s extensive travels. Unexpected settings from a New York City subway, to the coastal home of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, to Colorado ghost towns, and the driest desert on earth, transform the arm-chair traveler, through use of language invoking a powerful and passionate sense of place.
